Dimensions, thickness and profile

Constant 5 mm thickness: The water capsule maintains a precise 5 mm thickness from heel to forefoot. It provides optimal hydraulic resistance without lifting your foot in the shoe.

Integrated 1 cm metatarsal pad: In the central part of the insole, there is an anatomical metatarsal pad up to 10 mm thick. This solid support keeps the transverse arch in the correct position and instantly relieves the overloaded forefoot.

Natural profile without hard plastic: The insole has no rigid plastic skeleton. The foot rests in a natural plane and adapts to the dynamics of the water, while the 1 cm metatarsal pad provides targeted orthopaedic support exactly where the arch of the foot drops.

Compatibility: What footwear are they suitable for?

Thanks to its ultra-flat profile and precise 5 mm thickness, the T40 model is incredibly versatile, ideal for open-toed footwear, everyday shoes, and light work shoes.

PERFECT FOR:

  • Sandals and open summer footwear: This is the ideal solution! Thanks to its flat shape, the insole doesn't protrude from the open sides of the footwear, and a special bottom layer securely holds it to the sandal's footbed, preventing it from slipping out while walking.
  • Light work footwear (Medical, catering, and services): Created for people who spend entire shifts on their feet, standing on hard surfaces such as tiles or linoleum. Ideal for medical clogs, work sandals, and light, white footwear (for nurses, doctors, chefs, waiters, or customer service staff).
  • Sports and everyday footwear: Standard urban trainers, sneakers, outdoor shoes, and closed walking shoes.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • Heavy construction footwear and sturdy safety shoes: The T40 model is not designed for massive steel-toed work boots used on construction sites or in production/metalworking halls.
  • Narrow stilettos and elegant high-heeled court shoes: The extremely tapered toe and steep angle of the shoe physically prevent proper water displacement and the full functioning of the hydraulic system.
Sizes and customisation by trimming

Available sizes: Standard European double sizes: 34-35, 36-37, 38-39, 40-41, 42-43, 44-45, 46-47.

Where you CAN trim: The front third of the insole (toe area) is completely water-free. On the white underside, there are precise cutting lines (e.g. 42-8, 43-8). Here you can shorten the insole with scissors, both in length and at the sides, to customise it to the shape of your shoe's toe.

Where you MUST NOT trim: Never trim the side edges or the heel! That's where the hermetically sealed hydraulic chamber is located. If it is damaged, water will leak out.

Instructions for correct use

If possible, remove the original insole from your shoe. For sandals and summer footwear where the insole cannot be removed, simply place the Medicovi insoles directly on top of it.

For closed shoes, place the original insole against the Medicovi T40 (align them at the heels) and trim the front, water-free part of the Medicovi insole to match the shape of the original.

Insert the insole into the shoe with the black, fabric side facing upwards (the white side with the visible hydrodynamic relief should face downwards, towards the sole).
