Dimensions, thickness and profile

Constant 5 mm thickness: The water capsule maintains a precise 5 mm thickness internally. This provides constant hydraulic resistance for shock absorption, without unnecessarily raising the foot in sports footwear.

Deep Heel Cup: The raised profile in the heel area stabilises the heel directly on the water cushion. It keeps the foot stable even during sudden changes of direction, sprints, and jumps.

Anatomical lateral guidance: The raised edges in the mid-section of the insole guide the arch of the foot and keep it in optimal alignment. This prevents incorrect ankle tilting (pronation/supination) and protects the foot from fatigue during dynamic stress.

Compatibility: What footwear are they suitable for?

IDEAL FOR:

  • Running and training footwear: This is their natural habitat! Perfect for road and trail running shoes, fitness footwear, and intense training sessions.
  • Indoor and court footwear: Ideal for tennis, squash, badminton, floorball, basketball, or volleyball – wherever dynamics, sudden changes of direction, and shock absorption during jumps on the court are crucial.
  • Sturdy everyday and outdoor footwear: Urban trainers, trekking boots, and walking shoes with a wider cut, where the foot needs stable support and precise guidance.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR:

  • Sandals and open summer footwear: Absolutely not recommended. Due to the raised edges and deep heel cup, the insole would protrude from an open shoe, losing its crucial stabilising function.
  • Narrow studs and spikes (cleats): Extremely tight sports footwear (e.g., professional cycling shoes or narrow football boots) will not provide sufficient space for the water hydraulics to function correctly.
  • Elegant formal footwear: Narrow low-cut shoes and high heels do not have sufficient internal volume to accommodate this athletic insole profile.
Sizes and customisation by trimming

Available sizes: Standard European double sizes: 34-35, 36-37, 38-39, 40-41, 42-43, 44-45, 46-47.

Where you CAN trim: The front third of the insole (toe area) is completely water-free. On the white underside, there are precise cutting lines (e.g. 42-8, 43-8). Here you can shorten the insole with scissors, both in length and at the sides, to customise it to the shape of your shoe's toe.

Where you MUST NOT trim: Never trim the side edges or the heel! That's where the hermetically sealed hydraulic chamber is located. If it is damaged, water will leak out.

Instructions for correct use

If possible, remove the original insole from your shoe. For sandals and summer footwear where the insole cannot be removed, simply place the Medicovi insoles directly on top of it.

For closed shoes, place the original insole against the Medicovi T40 (align them at the heels) and trim the front, water-free part of the Medicovi insole to match the shape of the original.

Insert the insole into the shoe with the black, fabric side facing upwards (the white side with the visible hydrodynamic relief should face downwards, towards the sole).
